Irene de Best - Our principle Veterinary Surgeon Drs Irene de Best, MRCVS qualified in the Netherlands and has now been working in the UK for 14 years. She has 40 years of experience in dressage, show jumping and eventing to European champion competition level, and she has also ridden as an amateur jockey

Sarah Slade, Practice Manager, has been with the practice since it opened in 2000. Sarah has been working in Veterinary Practice for 25 years and is a Pet healthcare counsellor dealing with dietary management. She is Treasurer of a local youth football club, FC Calne. Sarah has a keen interest in travelling and is regular visitor to Florida; she enjoys cooking, reading and spending time with her friends.

Viv Aplin, Admin/Receptionist, has been with the practice 9 years and has two German Shorthaired Pointers, Phoebe & Boyd. Viv’s interests include cooking, knitting, crosswords, walking & travelling.

Christine Johnson, Nurse, joined the practice 6 years ago and has a new Gordon Setter Abby. Christine likes to keep fit and has completed half marathons as well as the London marathon. She is an avid Point to Point enthusiast.

Eva Michalkova, Trainee nurse/Receptionist, is from the Czech Republic and has been a member of the practice for over 2 years. Eva is a committed Vegan and has a horse, Yum Yum, Cocker spaniel Jet & Lilu the cat. She also keeps many varieties of fish

Nicola Hurt, Receptionist, has been with the practice since just after we opened and has a Golden Retriever called Daisy. She has a keen interest in needlecraft.
